Photography as a pleasure.

I'm Beatriz Martínez, originally from Yecla (Murcia). I think my interest in photography dates back to as early as I can remember. It's always attracted me greatly. I still keep my parents' old cameras, an instant camera from the 1970s, and also a company SLR that we used to create sofa catalogs... Whose lens, by the way, is a Canon EF 24-70mm f.2.8, which I still use to this day with spectacular results. I've gone through each and every one of the compact cameras I've owned over the years, which are quite a few, and although I no longer use them, I still keep them out of romantic sympathy, I suppose.

I started shooting photography not long ago, in 2022, with a Canon Eos R and an R7 for wildlife. I decided on this brand "because" of the lens I mentioned earlier. A mirrorless generation, I currently work with a Canon R5 Mark II and the astro-modified R7.

I consider myself tremendously passionate and joyful about photography, and this motivates me to constantly evolve. I'm an eternal learner fortunate to currently reside in Asturias, an inexhaustible resource for landscape photographers. Although I also enjoy photography immensely anywhere else, the trick is to have a camera in hand and everything transforms, transporting me to a place where I'm happy... A modest little corner, under the photographer's gaze, can hide a great work of art.
